Kleinbardorf Castle – castle on the water near the town of Sulzfeld, preserved in excellent condition. People still live in it today.

Kleinbardorf in the XIV century belonged to the county of Genneberg. In 1368 it became the property of the bishopric of Wurzburg. A decade later, it was bought by the brothers Dietrich and Konrad von Bibrich. At the beginning of the 17th century, the castle was confiscated by the state after the death of Heinrich von Bibrich, who left no heirs. But his relatives protested this decision and in 1681 received the estate back into ownership. Ten years later, Kleinbardorf was acquired by Baron Gutenberg, and in 1896 the land was sold to the rural community. Today the completely restored castle belongs to a private person.

Mansion, which appears before us today, was built in 1589-1590. Heinrich von Biebrich. Restoration work was carried out in 1776 by Baron Gutenberg.
