Wasserburg Castle was first mentioned in 1185, its first owners were the Wasserburg family. Over the centuries, the castle has repeatedly changed its owners.

During the First World War, the castle served as a resting place for soldiers returning from the front. Count Karl Hugo Seilern bought the castle in 1923, which still belongs to this family.

Wasserburg Castle was built in the Baroque style and is surrounded by a beautiful pond inhabited by fish and ducks. The owners of the castle rent it out for various special events. Also on the territory of the castle there is a tennis court, several golf courses, an outdoor pool.
