The St. Anne Museum of Art is one of the most popular in Lubeck. Nowadays, the museum is located in the building of the Augustinian monastery, which was built in the XV – XVI centuries in the late Gothic style. The basis of the museum's exposition are Gothic wooden altars, made by order of noble families to decorate family chapels and churches. Particularly noteworthy is the altarpiece of Hans Memling, which depicts the Passion of the Lord, and fragments of the altar made by the Lubeck master Bernt Notke.
