Photo and description

The amazing collection of the Museum of St. Anna was housed in the building of the late Gothic Augustinian monastery, built at the turn of the 15th and 16th centuries. The basis of the museum's exposition is made up of wooden Gothic altars, commissioned by wealthy families for family churches and chapels. The jewels of this museum collection are the altarpiece of Hans Memling, depicting the Passion of the Lord, and fragments of the altar by the Lubeck master Bernt Notke.
