Minh Manga (real name Nguyen Duk Dam) was the second son of Emperor Gia Long. In 1820, Min Manga inherited the throne, and died 21 years later at the age of 52.

Min Manga's tomb is located in the village of Kamke, 12 kilometers from the city of Hue. The construction of the tomb began in September 1840 and was completed in January 1841. In February 1841, the emperor's place was taken by his son Thieu Tri, who continued the construction of the tomb according to his father's plans.
