Prosphoria Tower in Ouranoupoli in Greece, Halkidiki resort
Rating: 8,2/10 (644 votes)  The Prosphoria Tower is one of the tallest and most imposing buildings of the Byzantine era, as well as one of the symbols of Ouranoupoli. The tower was built on the site of the Vatopedi monastery courtyard in 134. The roof of the building, which replaced the last floor, dates back to a later period. Today the tower is used for cultural purposes – exhibitions are organized here and a chapel is located on the top floor.
