The construction of the new town hall was started immediately after the city of Hradcany was given the status of a royal town. During the reign of Joseph II, all Prague cities were united into one, after which the town hall was abolished and turned over to residential building. Until now, only the facade painted in the sgraffito technique has survived from the town hall, on which you can still see fragments of the Hradcany coat of arms and the imperial coat of arms.
