Construction of the Town Hall began in 1814 on the site of the older Town Hall, which was destroyed by a fire in 1812 ... The author of the project was Josef Kornhausel. Construction work was completed the following year. In 1893-1895, a number of reconstruction works were carried out in the building, during which the Town Hall was rebuilt and expanded. Only three bas-reliefs and a facade made in the style of classicism have survived from the original building to this day.
