Rastorguev-Kharitonov estate description and photo - Russia - Ural: Yekaterinburg. Detailed information about the attraction. Description, photos and a map showing the nearest significant objects. Photo and descriptionThe Rastorguev-Kharitonov estate is located in the central part of the city, on K. Liebknecht street, not far from the Ascension Church. The manor complex impresses with its richness of forms and splendor. The buildings of the estate, erected in the style of classicism, are admired by both local residents and guests of the city. In addition to the main building, the composition of the palace and park composition includes a stable, a utility yard, a park with a lake, & nbsp; a gate and a fence with a forged lattice. The first owner of the estate was the provincial secretary Isakov, but he died a year later from the beginning of the construction of the stone building. The unfinished house from Isakov's widow was bought by the merchant of the first guild, and later by the gold miner and plant owner - L.I. Rastorguev. He built two houses, a two-story outbuilding and a beautiful greenhouse. In 1820, two more outbuildings appeared in the courtyard and on Voznesenskaya Street. The construction of the estate was finally completed only by 1824. After L. Rastorguev's death, his son-in-law, P. Kharitonov, became the owner of the estate. On the site of nine hectares of bog, which was located beyond the eastern border of the estate, Kharitonov laid out a garden, which later became the pride of the entire estate. An artificial pond was created in it, decorative buildings were installed. After a while, the garden began to be used as a public city park, the first in Yekaterinburg. The house constantly hosted luxurious balls and entertainment for the local nobility. In 1824, Emperor Alexander I stayed in the mansion, and in 1837 - Alexander II. After the death of the owners, the house of the Rastorguev-Kharitonovs was empty for a long time, after that it was rented out for housing and offices. But despite this, its appearance has not changed. During the revolutionary years, the building housed a detachment of the Red Guard and the Ural-Siberian Communist University. In 1937, the mansion was overhauled and it was taken over by the Palace of Children's and Youth Creativity (formerly the Palace of Pioneers). Today the Rastorguev-Kharitonov estate is one of the main historical and architectural sights of the city of Yekaterinburg.
