The Zotov-Tarasov estate, located in Yekaterinburg's barrier on the pond's dam, is one of the most valuable examples of classicism architecture, a monument of the cultural heritage of the Russian Federation.

The manor complex consists of three buildings: the main house, two side wings, and a fence. The facades of the two-story stone building of the Zotov-Tarasov estate and the right-wing are decorated in the eclectic style. The buildings themselves are made in the classical style characteristic of the architecture of manors. One of the outbuildings of the manor has a very interesting history. It was built in the 30s. At that time, such offices were used as a kind of inexpensive hotels for travelers. And it was here that the Decembrists, returning from Siberian exile, and the writer Reshetnikov stayed.

This house is one of the oldest stone buildings in the city of Yekaterinburg. It is known that the house of the Zotov-Tarasov estate already stood in 1804. According to various sources, in 1819-1821. The building was either rebuilt or bought by the former serf GF Zotov. In 1837, the second guild merchant S.L. Tarasov rebuilt it, giving the building a more elegant look. As a result, the house received another name - Tarasovsky. Since 1910, the outbuilding of the house housed the Society of Ural Mining Technicians, and there was also a secret safe house of members of the Bolshevik Party.

The estate belonged to the Tarasovs until 1917. In the Soviet years in the building until the 80s. The Teacher's House was located. Currently, the estate is part of the residence of the governor of the Sverdlovsk region. Unfortunately, only a part of the buildings of the Zotov-Tarasov estate complex has survived to this day - the main two-story house, the southern one-story wing, and a stone fence with a gate.
