Bodrum Antique Theater in Turkey, Bodrum Resort
Rating: 7,6/10 (100 votes)  The ancient theater, located on the hillside, is another proof of the great history of this ancient city. The building was built during the reign of Satrap Mausol. The theater consisted of three parts – stage, choir platform and seats for spectators. In 1973, after the completion of archaeological excavations, the theater was turned into an open-air museum. Since 1976, restoration work has been carried out here, which, due to the cessation of funding, was stopped in 1985. The project was only relaunched again in 2000.
