Theater in Turkey, Ephesus resort

The theater building, like all structures of that period, was divided into three sections: cavea – sector for spectators, orchestra – a round platform for the performance of the choir and sken along with the proscenium – the closest part of the stage to the audience. The theater's capacity was about 25 thousand people. In relation to the stage, the hall was located at a height of 30 meters, and was completed by a portico, which improved the acoustics of the entire ensemble. During the daytime, gladiator fights often took place on the theater stage, both with animals and among themselves.
