The Ephesus Theater is one of the monuments of antiquity, which has been perfectly preserved to this day.
The theater building, like all structures of that period, was divided into three sections: cavea – sector for spectators, orchestra – a round platform for the performance of the choir and sken along with the proscenium – the closest part of the stage to the audience.
The theater's capacity was about 25 thousand people. In relation to the stage, the hall was located at a height of 30 meters, and was completed by a portico, which improved the acoustics of the entire ensemble.
During the daytime, gladiator fights often took place on the theater stage, both with animals and among themselves.
