Tabagan – one of the most popular ski resorts in Kazakhstan, located in the Talgar district of the Almaty region, in the gorge of the Zailiysky Alatau. The total area of the resort is 55 hectares, the maximum height above sea level – 1650 m, and the maximum height difference – 400 meters with a track length of up to 2 km. The easiest way to get to Tabagan is from Almaty, located 17 km away: there is a road passing through the villages of Talgar and Beskaynar, the latter of which is the main base of the resort.
