Rating: 7,5/10 (100 votes)  French Palace is a building formerly occupied by the French Embassy. The French Palace was built in 1840 in the architectural style typical of the Louis Philippe era. The construction of this first foreign embassy in Turkey marked the period of development of the entire area where the French Palace is located. Previously, the area of Pera was entirely vineyards and graveyard slabs. The name French Palace is considered somewhat pretentious for such a modest structure, the historical value of which is still in question.
