Wimanmek Palace in Thailand, Bangkok Resort
Rating: 7,9/10 (120 votes)  Vimanmek Palace is completely unique in some way. This is the tallest building in the world, which was built from pink yew, without using a single nail during construction. The palace was originally located on the island of Xichang, but by order of the king in 1901 it was moved to Bangkok. Vimanmek was the residence of the king V frames up to 1935. Then for many years it was empty and gradually fell into decay. After restoration work in 1982, a museum was opened within the walls of the palace. The museum has a whole collection of rare exhibits, including: hunting trophies of the royal family, fine porcelain, the first light bulb used in the country, and other items.
