The Royal Palace is not one building, but a whole complex of architectural structures in the center of the capital of Thailand. Its other names are: The Grand Palace or Phrabarommaharadchawang.
The palace began to be built in 1782 and from the 18th century it became the permanent residence of Thai rulers. During this period, the complex was repeatedly rebuilt and supplemented with new buildings. Now it includes, in addition to, in fact, the palace buildings, libraries, sacred vaults where the ashes of Thai kings rest, as well as various temples, including the famous Temple of the Emerald Buddha (or Emerald Temple).
The Royal Palace complex has a very organic structure, there are no unnecessary elements in it. He is also very handsome. Needle domes rush into the sky, shining with gold, numerous bells ring under the roofs of buildings, incense smoke rises.
Not surprisingly, such a distinctive beauty attracts many tourists from all over the world. On the territory of the complex you can visit the museum, the exposition of which is devoted to the life of the rulers of Thailand.
