The tall, beautifully decorated temple is popular with tourists visiting Bangkok. Inside Wat Suthat there are over one hundred and fifty golden Buddha statues. The walls of the temple are decorated with original painting, and the doors – skillfully executed woodcarving. In the central part there is a bronze statue of Buddha, whose height reaches eight meters. This statue has a long history. It is one of the few, perfectly preserved to this day, a work of art of the Sukkhothai era (XIII-XV centuries). On the square in front of Wat Suthat, there is a Giant swing (Souchinga), which was previously used during religious ceremonies ceremonies.
