Jim Thompson is an American who organized the production of silk fabrics in Thailand before the Second World War. On the territory of his estate in 1959, he installed old Thai houses, transported from the province.
Throughout his life, Thompson was fond of collecting antiques and its restoration. Currently, Jim Thompson's house is read as one of the most interesting museums in Bangkok. Here you can see products from multi-colored Chinese porcelain, various Buddha statues, Burmese figurines, stone statues brought from Cambodia, and much more.
There is also a hall in the museum dedicated to the life of this interesting person. Jim Thompson himself disappeared in the most mysterious way in 1967, going on vacation to Malaysia. The versions of his death are extremely diverse.
