Chitralada Palace or, as it is called, the royal villa of Chitralada, is the residence of King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) and Queen Sirikit in Bangkok.

King Rama IX was the first monarch in the Chakri dynasty who settled in the palace of Chitralada. He moved here from the main royal palace after the death of King Rama VIII's elder brother.

The palace occupies an area of 4 square kilometers, tirelessly guarded by the palace guards. It is surrounded by a deep moat along its entire perimeter. The main building on the territory of the palace consists of two floors, it was founded by King Rama VI, like the entire palace. The palace houses the Chitralada School, which was established in 1958 for the children of the royal family. It is perhaps the most closed and exclusive school in the country.
