Vimanmek Palace is the largest building in the world, built of pink yew tree without a single nail. All structures were fastened with wooden dowels. The building was previously located on Sichang Island, but in 1901, by royal order, it was transported to its current location in Bangkok - Dusit Park.

King Rama V lived in the palace with his large family. Later he moved to the Royal Palace, and his wives stayed here. In 1935, the palace became empty and gradually fell into decay, until restoration began in 1982. Now it houses a museum of unique exhibits that belonged to the royal family.

The palace has more than 80 rooms - audience halls, a concert hall, living quarters. Thailand's first electric light bulb is kept here,
