Pоmmern (museum ship) - four-masted barque, sailing ship, built in 1903 at the shipyards in Glasgow. Pоmmern (Pomerania) is one of famous sailboats of the German shipping company F.   Laeisz, to which refers, for example, the barque Kruzenshtern.

Pоmmern soon after construction passed to G. Erickson from Mariehamna, who used the ship to transport grain from Australia to Ireland and England before World War II. After the war, the sailboat was docked in the port of Marienhamn as a museum ship. Today the ship belongs Aland Maritime Museum and stands in the western harbor.

The exhibition of the ship-museum includes a collection of photographs of a sailor Peter Carney, made by him in 1933. Photos vividly show the drama the lives of the sailboat crew members.

Pоmmern is considered a"lucky ship". The sailboat passed two world wars, and in 1930 and 1937. won the Big Grain Race. Today it has become one of the main attractions of the Aland archipelago.
