ImageNuuksio National Park is one of the national parks in Finland. It is located northwest of Helsinki and is the closest national park to the capital. The park was founded in 1994. It covers an area of 45 sq. km. From Helsinki and Espoo, Nuuksio National Park can be reached by regular public transport. The park is very popular with tourists and locals alike, it is equipped with all kinds of amenities and was created especially for a pleasant stay. There are four tourist routes, equipped campgrounds, grill areas, picking places for mushrooms and berries. Nuuksio Park has its own symbol - this is the image of the common flying squirrel living here; in addition, the park is home to dozens of critically endangered species, such as the lark and nightjar.
