Her Majesty's Theater is one of the most famous and popular theaters in London. The hotel is located in the western part of Westminster, near Trafalgar Square.

The first theater - the Royal Theater - was built on this site in 1705, since 1714 it became known as the Theater of His Majesty. Classical ballets and operas were staged here with the participation of the country's most famous troupes and actors. The theater, which existed until 1892, was demolished. The territories previously occupied by this theater were acquired in 1896 by Gerberg Birb Tree, an actor and theater manager who later founded the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. Architect Charles Phipps designed and built a new theater building with a capacity of 1,216 spectators. Construction was completed by 1897, and the opening took place in the same year. Plays by W. Shakespeare, N. Coward, E.L. Webber, J.M.Singa, J. B. Priestley, and B. Shaw. Depending on the sex of the monarch, the name of the theater was constantly changing from"His Majesty" to"Her Majesty". The name was last changed in 1952 - in honor of Queen Elizabeth II who took the throne.

The theater gained particular popularity after the First World War, when the most sensational performances were shown here and the most famous actors played. The pearl of the Her Majesty's Theater repertoire since the fall of 1986 is the musical"The Phantom of the Opera" by E. L. Webber. This musical has been gathering a full audience for more than 25 years.
