Royal Court is a famous London theater located in the West End of Sloane Square. The theater has a long history. Its first building appeared here in the 91st century and was located on Lauer George Street. It was a rebuilt church of Ranelagh Chapel and was then called TheNewChelseaTheatre. After some time, the management began to update the interior and renamed the theater to Court. In those years, the theater stage was famous for its performances of early works   W. Sh. Hilbert.

At the end of the 19th century, Court was again rebuilt. After reconstruction, it began to accommodate more than seven hundred spectators. However, the theater was soon closed and its old building was demolished. The modern Royal Court stage is located on the east side of Sloane Square. Its discovery fell on 1888, the theater received a new name - New Court Theater. The renovated building featured a relaxed Italian architectural style and red brick finishes. In those days, it already accommodated more than eight hundred spectators.

Since then, the theater has been pleasing the audience with the most interesting performances, which included modern foreign and British plays, and, of course, the classical repertoire. Already in the 20th century, George Devine assumed the leadership of the theater, who was distinguished by his desire to create topical author's productions and open new names to the public. Often such plays came into conflict with censorship. This theater staged John Osborne's"Look Back in Anger", which critics later called the source of the latest British drama.

The work of the Royal Court Theater is highly regarded in contemporary theatrical art.
