Rating: 7,9/10 ( votes) The building of the Great Opera of Belfast is located in one of the northern districts of the city - Entrise. It was created in 1894 by a local architect who, in all his works, emphasized a sincere love for the Eastern style. The opera house is an example of impeccable and intricate Arabic style.
The fate of the opera was very sad - during the Second World War it was destroyed by a German bomb, several years after the end of the war, one of the main cultural places of Belfast stood in ruins. Now the opera building is a completely reconstructed building of the late 19th century, the only changes were made to the interior. It is now the most modern theater venue in the city, hosting avant-garde performances.
