The bridge was erected at the turn of the 17th & 18th centuries, during the reign of Friedrich Wilhelm. The author of the bridge, as the chronicles say, is Martin Grunberg. The bridge was originally made of wood. In 1798, the bridge, already named Jungfernbrucke, was replaced by a new one made of iron and wood. The central part of the bridge, as before, was raised with the help of chains and wheels. The historical appearance of the bridge has been preserved to this day.
