The old town hall is located in the main square of the city. The construction of the town hall was completed in 1513. It was originally built in the Gothic style. From it to our times, only the corner octagonal tower, which is made in the form of a moon, and several halls inside the modern building have survived. In 1658, the main facade of the old town hall was completely rebuilt in the Baroque style, which practically preserved unchanged to our times. Inside the building is represented by modern glass and metal halls and walkways. Today, the old town hall houses a museum with a peculiar name -"The Origin of Linz". In addition, the mayor's office and municipal authorities are still located here, as well as private courtyards and apartments. A bell orchestra operates on the high tower of the town hall, performing popular tunes for Linz three times a day.
