The concert center got its name in honor of the famous Austrian composer Anton Bruckner. The construction of the building took 5 years, starting in 1969. The center has three main halls. The largest hall is named after Anton Bruckner and has a capacity of 150 standing and 1420 seats. The small hall is named after Johannes Kepl and has 100-150 seats, while the middle hall is named after Adalbert Stifter and has 40 standing and 352 seats. Bruckner Concert Center is one from the largest concert halls in Linz. The Bruckner Festival is held here every September. The large hall hosts approximately 200 performances annually.
