The bizarre layout of the palace is more like an ingenious labyrinth, consisting of rooms, courtyards and passages. The palazzo received its name in honor of the 'pelota' – the game that is the prototype of modern squash. Previously, in one of the courtyards, the dukes, and even their courtiers, loved to indulge in this fun.
