The modern theater building, built in 1984 on the site of the old dilapidated Bolshoi Drama Theater, is located on Friedrichstrasse, not far from the train station the same name. The hall of Europe's largest Variety Theater is designed for 1895 seats. The theater has a permanent repertoire. Theater stage portal – the widest in Europe – reaches 24 meters. The highlight of every performance in the theater is the signature show of the corps de ballet, when about fifty girls line up and perform a synchronized dance, and at that moment a fountain emerges from the hold of the stage. In the basement of the theater located Quatsch Comedy Club, and in front of the building – analogue of the Walk of Fame, which is called the Berlin Asphalt.
