Franz Josef Park in Austria, Salzburg resort

Franz Josef Park is located on the right bank of the Salzach River. It got its name in honor of Emperor Franz Joseph, as it was opened on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the ruler. After World War I, for political reasons, the park was renamed the People's Garden. The park has an outdoor swimming pool, various sports facilities, as well as an ice rink and mini golf. After its creation, the park quickly gained popularity among local residents, and city fairs began to be held here. Franz Josef Park is currently one of the favorite recreational areas where you can go boating on the pond, take a walk and watch sports events.
