Gate of Mars in France, Reims resort
Rating: 7,5/10 (400 votes)  The Mars Gate is an ancient Roman triumphal arch located on the territory of Reims. The oldest monument in Reims. Built in the III century and named after the god of war Mars. Nearby there is a temple named after this god. The gate is a triumphal arch, which consists of three spans, about 13 meters high and about 32 meters wide. Until 1544, the Mars Gate was used as a city gate. The buildings surrounding them were demolished in 1817. Thanks to this, a wonderful view opened up on the landmark, they can be viewed from any side.
