Aqueduct Cabri - Akko in Israel, Akko resort
Rating: 8,6/10 (609 votes)  The first aqueduct in Akko was built during the reign of Al-Jazzar, but was soon completely destroyed by the French army on the orders of Napoleon, who was besieging the city. The construction of the second aqueduct took place thanks to Suleiman Pasha, who personally followed work. According to the records of the historian Al-Ur, the length of the aqueduct was 3.5 hours of walking; clay pipes were placed within half an hour's walk, which protected the water from pollution. Water was supplied to the city from the Kabri spring.
