The museum exhibits items that were found during archaeological excavations in the ancient city of Kourion and its immediate surroundings. The archaeological museum of Kourion is located on the first floor of an ancient two-storey building, built in 1937. The exhibition halls of the museum are located in two large rooms, a small room is reserved for under the guardian's office, and another room is used as a restoration workshop. In the western exhibition hall, restored samples of marble cladding, mosaics and other decorative objects of the early Christian basilica, marble statues - Hermes, Asclepius, various ceramics, coins, bronze candlesticks from Kourion Square and other exhibits. The East Exhibition Hall exhibits ivory and gold household items, jewelry from the necropolises of Bambula and Faneromeni (dating from 1900-1050 BC ). Here are also exhibited steatite amulets, marble sculptures, terracotta figurines found in the sanctuary of Apollo and many other antiquities. All the exhibits are accompanied by brief explanations on small labels, as well as supplemented with photographs and various plans. Several finds from Kourion and the sanctuary of Apollo are located in the courtyard of the museum: heavy damaged statues, the bases of the statues and columns.
