Ashgabat Botanical Garden is one of the oldest on the territory of the former Soviet republics. It was founded in 1892 as a botanical station, and received the status of a city botanical garden in 1929. The botanical garden is located on the territory of the Academy of Sciences, in the eastern part of the city. The park is divided into several climatic zones, decorated with sculptures and gazebos, there are greenhouses. This is a favorite vacation spot for local residents and guests of the capital of Turkmenistan.
