Photo and description

Telaga Tujukh, the famous waterfall of Lankawi, has several names: "Seven Wells", "Seven Rapids" or "Seven Streams". All of them approach this creation of nature, fascinating with its unusual beauty.

Water falls from a height of 90 meters not in one stream, but is divided into seven streams, together similar to fabulous female hair strands. This gave rise to the creation of a legend about the nymphs who lived in this place and washed their hair in jets. After a prince tried to catch one of them, all the fairies became invisible. Streams of water falling from such a height pass along seven ledges, hence the name - "Seven Rapids". Below these streams form the same number of lakes, which gave the waterfall its third name - "Seven Wells". The natives of the island claim that seven wells were also a favorite bathing place for fairies. Impenetrable rainforests surrounding from all sides emphasize the mysterious originality of the waterfall, which makes you believe all the legends about it.

The ascent to the top will not seem like an easy walk, and will take on average about 45 minutes. But the beauty of the legendary waterfall is worth it. For ascent, the path is equipped with steps, railings, benches for rest. In the lower part of the waterfall, those who wish can take a natural bath with a jacuzzi effect - due to the flow of water falling into it. During the ascent, a meeting with representatives of the animal world is practically guaranteed. These can be hornbills, giant squirrels and ubiquitous macaques. The most impressive waterfall looks during the rainy season, at the time of its maximum flow.

Upstairs there is a small observation deck in the form of a suspended bridge with a glass section of the floor. For the convenience of viewing, all conditions have been created, including gazebos for rest and viewing.

Along the stone slope polished by water for many years, you can, if you wish, slide down in its streams, like in a water park. The lake at the bottom of the stream will embrace.

The waterfall is very famous and visited. Many tourists are confident in the healing properties of the water of seven lakes.
