Photo and descriptionThe Leventis City History Museum is located in one of the buildings that the famous art patron and art lover John Evangelides built in 1882 for his three daughters. Later this building was turned into a hospital, but over time it was abandoned. In 1983, it was bought and restored by the A.G. Leventis specially for placing in it the collections of the museum of the history of the city. Officially, the City Museum, named after the founder of the foundation, began operating in 1989. Since 2000, it has been constantly expanding, so at the moment the institution has already occupied several buildings.
