The Museum of Physical Culture and Sports of the Republic of Belarus was opened on July 6, 2006. The decision to create the museum was made on May 24, 2003 by the Executive Committee of the National Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus.

The museum demonstrates the history of the development of sports in Belarus, sports and Olympic achievements of Belarusian athletes. The museum also aims to promote physical education, sports and a healthy lifestyle, which is so important today in the modern young Republic of Belarus.

The exposition of the museum also acquaints with the history of the development of the Olympic Committee, with its structure and principle of work. On display are exhibits that will visually acquaint with the activities of the world's largest sports organizations and organizing committees. Here are kept the Olympic torches, which were carried by outstanding Belarusian athletes in 1980 and 2006, the most important documents and photographs. Visitors are shown the Olympic awards of the Belarusian champions. A hall of fame was created with portraits of the country's most prominent athletes.

The museum has two exhibition halls, a conference room, a showroom, and an art gallery. The total area of the exposition is 456 square meters.

In the Museum of Physical Culture and Sports, it is customary to celebrate the sports achievements of popular athletes. Exhibitions are held here, interesting meetings with coaches and champions of the country, informative lectures, events are held, campaigning for youth and students for an active healthy lifestyle.
