Aviation Museum description and photos - Belarus: Minsk. Detailed information about the attraction. Description, photos and a map showing the nearest significant objects. Photo and descriptionThe open-air museum of aviation technology was organized in the village of Borovaya near Minsk in 2009. The first aviation museum in the Republic of Belarus was created on the basis of the DOSAAF flying club named after twice Hero of the Soviet Union Sergei Gritsevets. The museum aims to popularize aviation among young people. Recently, the prestige of aviation-related professions has dropped significantly. More than 29 units of aircraft are collected on the territory of the museum. 23 aircrafts and 6 helicopters will warmly open their doors for visitors, and specially trained guides will show and pay attention to the features of each model of equipment. There is something to see here - the museum in Borovaya boasts rare aircraft models that cannot be seen elsewhere. Here, you can not only visit the passenger compartment, but also sit in the pilot's seat, try on a height-compensating overalls and an oxygen mask. Most of the aircraft and helicopters are operational and serviceable. Even some veteran planes of the Great Patriotic War are taking off into the sky. In 1934, the Minsk Osoaviakhim Aero Club was established. In 1948 the aeroclub was renamed into the Central Aeroclub of the BSSR. The museum remains an aeroclub to this day. People come here to jump with a parachute, young people are engaged in air sports, which has recently become very fashionable. Modern sports planes give athletes an adrenaline jolt while remaining completely safe. The museum hosts aviation parades, holidays, meetings with veteran pilots and cosmonauts, We also recommend reading Park Pollein description and photos - Italy: Val d'Aosta Topic: Museum of aviation technology description and photo - Belarus: Minsk. |
