Krasici description and photos - Montenegro: Herceg Novi. Detailed information about the attraction. Description, photographs and a map showing the nearest significant objects. The name in English is Krasici. Photo and descriptionOn the Lustitsa peninsula in the Bay of Kotor there is a small village Krasichi, which is preferred by lovers of a quiet, relaxing holiday. The easiest way to get to Krasici is by renting a car or ordering a transfer from Tivat airport. Public transport is rare. In 1979, Montenegro shook with a devastating earthquake that affected the lives of many people. At that time, the village of Krasichi was located on a mountain slope a few kilometers from the modern village. As a result of the natural disaster, Krasichi was practically in ruins, so the inhabitants left it and moved to the Adriatic Sea, where the current Krasichi resort, which is called Lower, appeared. Accordingly, the village on the mountain is called Upper Krasichi. Krasichi bear little resemblance to luxurious resort towns. It does not have the usual comfortable embankment for evening promenades with cafes and discos. This is a fishermen's village, which by chance drew a lucky ticket and became a resort. In the 90s of the last century, a real construction boom happened here, which resulted in cottages for vacationers erected in the same manner. Several bars can be found on the shore. There is no entertainment for children. If a tourist has a rented car, he will be able to diversify his vacation by going to neighboring villages and towns. There is no ferry in Krasichi. There are also few attractions here: there are only two churches, one of which is located at the top - in the old village. This is the church of St. Nicholas, built in the 17th century. There is also a church in modern Krasichi, consecrated in honor of the Holy Martyrs. It was built right on the seashore in 1901.
