Sea fortress in Montenegro, Herceg Novi resort
Rating: 7,8/10 (500 votes)  Sea Fortress – another attraction of the old part of the city of Herceg Novi. In the Middle Ages, this place had much more extensive fortifications, today only a part has survived. From the XIV to the XVII century, the fortress was constantly rebuilt, and significantly expanded during the Turkish rule. Then the Austrian architects made their own changes to the structure, giving the fortress a modern look. After the restoration at the end of the 20th century, the fortress became a very popular tourist attraction. It will be interesting to climb to the top of the fort, from where you can see a stunning panorama of the city and the sea.
