Photo and description

Lambi Beach is an excellent beach in the bay of the same name on the northern coast of the Greek island of Patmos, about 14 km from the administrative center of the island of Chora. The beach is dotted with small multi-colored pebbles that shine and shimmer in the sun and it is thanks to this play of light that the beach got its name - "lambi", which means "brilliant" in Greek.

Lambi beach rightfully It is considered one of the best beaches on the island of Patmos, but getting to it is not so easy, so it is never too crowded here, which will undoubtedly appeal to lovers of a secluded getaway away from civilization and noisy crowds of tourists. Lambi beach can be reached by boat from the port of Skala (it will take about an hour the north wind known as "Meltemi" often rages here and this mode of transport is far from always available), using the services of a taxi or by a rented car. There is no public transport to Lambi Beach. However, you can also go on foot from the Kampos beach (at the crossroads after Kampos, turn left), the road will take about half an hour.

You will not find the usual sun umbrellas and sun loungers on Lambi beach, but there is a small bar and a cozy tavern where you can relax and dine while enjoying traditional local cuisine. You can hide from the scorching sun in the shade of the tamarisk growing along the beach.

You can diversify your beach vacation by visiting local attractions - the ruins of the ancient settlement of Platis Yialos and the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord, built in the 16th century.
