The Pieridis Museum is the oldest private museum in Cyprus, dating back to 1839. It is located in a beautiful building that belonged to the former mayor of Larnaca, Honorary Consul of Sweden on the island of Cyprus Zenon Pieridis. He handed over his house, which stands on one of the busiest streets of the city, to the authorities in 1974. The basis for the creation of this museum was its rich collection of art objects, collected by Zeno's grandfather Demetrios. In general, the Pieridis family has been collecting antiquities and archaeological values for six generations. Now all the unique things collected can be seen by visiting this beautiful museum for a reasonable fee. In addition, the house itself, which was built back in 1815, also deserves attention.
