Angeloktistos translates as"built by angels". The church is located 11 kilometers south-west of Larnaca, in the village of Kiti.
The peculiarity of the Angeloktistos church is that it consists of three buildings, built in different eras. You can enter the church through the Roman Catholic chapel (XIV century), then there is the Byzantine church (XI century), which was built on the basis of the dilapidated basilica of the VI century and on the north side there is a Byzantine chapel (XII century), named after Saints Damian and Kozma.
Of great interest is the preserved rare mosaic depicting the Virgin Mary with the Child Jesus in her arms and the archangels Gabriel and Michael. This mosaic is considered one of the oldest on the island.
