The Finnish Crafts Museum is a state specialized museum of folk art located in the city of Jyvaskyla. This is a great place to spend leisure time for the whole family.

In a special workshop, with the help of all the necessary tools and materials and according to clear illustrated instructions, you can make your own handicrafts of folk art.

To the museum collection includes samples of folk carving, painting, embroidery, weaving, ceramics. The collection, collected in the period from 1906 to 1945, includes 2,910 items, plus exhibits brought from Sweden, Norway, France and Russia (1,200 items). Wooden works are represented by cups, caskets, household items. There are also a lot of wickerwork here, for example, baskets and birch bark boxes.

An integral part of the Crafts Museum is the Finnish National Costume Center. The exhibits of the center convey the abundance of colors and originality of materials - lace, linen, cloth, pewter brooches.
