The Central Finland Aviation Museum was opened in 1976, and since 1987. is the official name of the Finnish Air Force Museum. Its exposition tells about the history of Finnish aviation from the very beginning up to the present day.

The basis of the exhibition is made up of 400 airplane models, including: “Fokker D.XXI”, “Messerschmidt BiEF 109 Ji-6”, bomber “ Bristol Benheim Mk. IV ”and the only fighter in the world“ Brewster ”. Moreover, here you can see aircraft engines, equipment and uniforms of the Finnish Air Force.

For tourists, the museum has a cafe and a shop selling books and magazines on aviation, as well as prefabricated aircraft models.
