National Museum in Thailand, Bangkok Resort

Bangkok National Museum was founded in 1782.   It is located near the Royal Palace and is a whole museum complex. The museum was built at the direction of King Rama V.

The most famous architectural structure, which is part of the complex, is the Buddhaysavan Chapel. It was built in 1795 especially for the crown prince. In the central part of the chapel there is a Sihing Buddha statue made of precious materials, and the walls are covered with beautiful frescoes.

The National Museum of Bangkok offers its guests an extensive exhibition, which includes thousands of different exhibits - both ancient and modern. Here you can get acquainted with the history of the country, as well as with the history of Buddhism.

The central hall of the museum – a place where exhibitions are regularly held. At the exhibitions you can see items found by archaeologists during excavations. These are ancient theatrical props, old coins, various household items and luxury goods.
