First of all Salzburg – this is a city     Mozart. Not only his apartment, but the whole house was turned into a museum. The annual Salzburg Festival is dedicated to Mozart. Mozart evenings are held in restaurants, numerous theaters and halls.

The Salzberg Mountain is completely pitted with salt mines,   still operating today. One of them, long abandoned, houses a museum.

Hohensalzburg Fortress

ski lovers will be attracted by Zell am See, Kaprun, Gasteiner -Tahl, Saalbach-Hinterglemm, Obertauern. In some areas, glacier skiing is year-round.

Excellent comfortable trails will attract beginners and parents with children. Not deprived of attention   professionals and extreme skiing: there are virgin slopes   and hilly trails to improve your skills.

Great opportunities are provided to other lovers of outdoor activities: there are gyms, indoor tennis courts, an outdoor skating rink, toboggan runs, winter hiking trails, air rides balls. Winter carnivals, costume shows, and even discos are held right on the slopes.

Salzburg – it is not only relaxation, but also excellent treatment offered by such nearby resorts as   Bad Ischl, renowned for its healing waters, Bad Hofgastein with a splendid thermal spring, Bad Gastein, where they recover from various injuries. It also shows the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, musculoskeletal system, diseases of the abdominal cavity, skin and respiratory organs.

Cultural sites


One of the main symbols Old town fortress Hohensalzburg. This is the largest European fortress that has been fully preserved. Here you can visit the observation tower, the chambers of the princes, the torture chamber, listen to the old mechanical organ called the Salzburg Bull.

Mirabell Palace Archbishop Wolf Dietrich built for his beloved and their common children. Now it houses the residence of the Mayor of Salzburg. A marble staircase leads to a marble and gold hall used for private concerts and weddings.

The massive stage of the Grand Festival Palace extends 40 meters deep into the Monk Mountain. More than 2,000 spectators can enjoy excellent acoustics. In the Grand Palace during the Festival time, mainly operas are staged, at other times Easter festivals, concerts dedicated to Mozart's week, and other cultural events are held here.
