Chatal-Huyuk (the second, more modern name of the city) – it is a large settlement of the Neolithic times, which is located at a distance of 50 kilometers from Konya.

This city is the largest   and a well-preserved settlement of the time. It was founded around 7500 BC, and people lived there until 5700 BC

The area of the settlement was 13 hectares, now only about half of a hectare has been excavated.

There were no public buildings in the city – all the houses found were residential. The entrance to each house was on the roof, but there were no streets between the houses.
