Beyazit Mosque (Bayazid) was built in 1501-1506 by order of Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror, survived destruction and re-construction. The Beyazit Mosque is one of the oldest architectural examples of the Ottoman period. In the eastern part of the main dome there are semi-domes, which support 4 columns in the form of elephant legs, as well as 2 columns of porphyry marble.

The gates of the Beyazit Mosque are elegantly decorated with oriental ornaments, in addition, the domes are distinguished by a complex and elegant decoration & nbsp; and the half-dome of the mosque.

On the two sides of the mosque, where the minarets are located, there are special balconies designed for the muezzin to call the flock to prayer. The distance between these balconies is 87 meters. The minarets have a special national color, thanks to the red stripes applied to them, and are the decoration of the mosque.

The remains of Sultan Bayazid found their eternal shelter in the tomb of the Beyazit mosque,   the vizier of the Great Rashid Pasha, as well as Seljuk Khatun. The mosque complex includes a charitable institution as well as a library.
